Oxlade Chamberlain
Obviously this story won't go away Can't believe he is still only 22.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. However even if he comes here, scores 30 every season and never has an injury again then playing for West Ham will be the end of his England career while that drooling, senile, incontinent fuckwit is England manager.

Maybe back to Southampton for him?

Out of the Euros thankfully. He's been woeful all season. Hopefully Walcott doesn't need an injury to miss out

As another sick note is out of the euros, will our esteemed care home candidate Hodgson consider Antonio as a replacement ?

Fucking plank will probably turn his nose up as usual.

Re: Oxlade Chamberlain
He shouldn't have been picked for the Euros anyway. Done nothing this season to suggest any kind of form.
He was a bright prospect but like so many at Arsenal his sparkle has diminished, injuries seem constant and his stock has fallen.
He'd be better off leaving and going to somewhere like Southampton.

Now has a knee injury and out for 6-8 weeks so misses the Euros.

Re: Oxlade Chamberlain
Clubs do offer players to other clubs, even when they are not trying to sign a player from that club.

Normal form is they talk to the player and his agent and tells them of their intentions and say if a player expresses a preference for staying local they may try to 'manage' where that player goes.

Arsenal would probably much rather let a player go to us than Chelsea or Spurs in case it backfires on them. IF OC went to a perceived 'non-competing' club and did well then it wouldn't reflect so badly than if he went to a Spurs and completed a full season and scored 20 goals.

You'd be amazed how childish a lot of this stuff is. Look at Cech going to Arsenal for that, Chelsea would rather have him benched, paying his huge wages and not picking up the substantial fee than letting him go to competitor, which they eventually did anyway

Optimistic to think that Roy'll be picking anyone after the Euros.

Does a Premier League club offer another Premier League club a player?

Quality player but another that's made of glass
I think you'll get better for the dough from abroad

Re: Oxlade Chamberlain
I'd whole-heartedly go for this provided the player has an injury clause or pays his wage insurance for when he gets injured. otherwise, I'd stay well away, and that's conceding that he is the best english player in the country. Just don't think he's made it through a 6-month stretch without injury.

It's been said again and again, and I'll do the same one more time......

Really good player, when on his game, and if there were a holy guarantee of no injuries, then I'd love to have him in the squad, BUT what a sick note history!

Scares me off.

Good player

Bad Injury List

I would avoid the offer

Re: Oxlade Chamberlain
I do like OC as a player but spending anything on a player that has missed nigh on two full league seasons in the last three seasons due to injury is a massive risk.

You have to plan that he will miss two games out of three and I'm kinda fed up signing injury basket cases. I guess if this happens we just need to trust the club or we are getting him for next to nothing

Tex, do you still advocate the signing of Matt Smith, the non-scoring Fulham striker? The one you said was better than Carroll.
